# How to Submit a Referral

> Steps to submit a valid referral

To qualify, make a warm introduction between your referral and one of the Cantina team members below:

## Example Referral Message

> "Hi team, I wanted to introduce John Smith, the founder of SpaceSwap, an innovative DeFi primitive focused on non-custodial lending. They're interested in running a competition with Cantina, so I thought I'd warm up the introduction."
